Story Walk Kent

June 14-July 31, 2022

A Story Walk is a fun activity where families can follow a map through downtown Kent, reading a story in the business windows along the way. It’s a fun way of promoting literacy, physical activity, and community! Grab some snacks, shop, and stop for lunch at one of our local restaurants. Get some fresh air and support local business!

In partnership with the Rotary Club of Kent and  Talk On Speech-Language Therapy activities will be more accessible to children with varying learning and cognitive abilities.

Featured Book: “Share Your Rainbow” — 18 Artists Draw Their Hope for the Future, introduction by R.J. Palacio

Kickoff Event & Story Time

We’ll be handing out FREE Share your Rainbow paperback books (first 50 children, 1 per family), bookmarks and cookies (all while supplies last) thanks to our friends at Rotary Club of Kent. Donations

We’re happy to work with the Ben Curtis Family Foundation Birdie Bag Program, providing meals for food-insecure children. They’re seeking donations of Macaroni & Cheese and granola bars, so each story walk location will have a donation box for these items.
